We have added a new teacher to the 5th-grade teaching team! Let's give Mr. Rousseau a warm welcome!
Hello St. Charles! I am Connor Rousseau, a 22-year-old Saginaw native who is eager to kick off his professional career in education at St. Charles Elementary as a 5th-grade teacher. I attended Saginaw Valley Statue University and earned my bachelor's degree in upper-elementary education and middle school mathematics while also working as a private academic tutor. Raised by a family of passionate educators, I was taught the value of a great education at a young age. It is my mission to instill a love of learning in St. Charles' youth and raise the next generation of thinkers, problem-solvers, and leaders. In my free time, I love to write books, play video games, and collect Lego sets, my favorite of which has to be the Lego Death Star. It's an honor to be welcomed to St. Charles Community Schools, and I cannot wait to get started with my very first classroom of students this fall.

We have added a new teacher to the first-grade teaching team! Let's give Mrs. Hafner a warm welcome!
Hello! My name is Cameron Hafner, and I am excited to be joining the team at St. Charles Elementary School, where I will be teaching first grade! I have been teaching for 15 years, of which the last 9 have been in a first-grade classroom. I received both my bachelor's and master’s degrees from Central Michigan University, where I specialized in math, reading, and early childhood development. My husband and I were raised here and graduated from St. Charles High School, so we are excited to have our two daughters also become STC Bulldogs! This year Everlee will be in fourth grade, and Harper will be in kindergarten. I look forward to teaching in the community I am a part of, and I can not wait to meet the students and families!
You can’t hide that Bulldog Pride!
