College Visit To Central Michigan University, Wednesday, October 26th, Mrs Hart, Mrs. Jordan, and Mrs Hunt were the chaperones for this event.

Students completed an activity in Mr. Henry’s class to see what their gravity is here on earth compared to on other planets! Go Bulldogs!

On Friday, October 28th, St. Charles Elementary School will celebrate Fall Festival hosted by the Parent Leadership Team from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the elementary school. A huge thank you goes to School Board President, Stacey Klump and the Klump Family Centennial Farm for donating pumpkins for the event. Thank you to Mrs. Klump, Mr. Benson, Mrs. Leffel, Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Gerding, and her leadership class for going to the pumpkin farm and gathering the pumpkins for the students.

This week in Library, Mrs. Coty had a special visitor read to the kindergarten students.

Fall clean up and fun at the elementary school!! Mr. Henry and a handful of 6th grade students rake the playground, while some 5th grade students take the opportunity to play in the piles.

Our Varsity quiz bowl started their season on Monday, October 24th in Vestaburg. The students had 4 matches and went 3-1 on that day. They ended the day with a comeback with 120 - 110 against Breckenridge. Carter Mason led the day with 50 points, Emily Mueller scored 30, and Aidan Kelley, Clarice Hunt and Audrey Hunt all scored 20 points each on that day. The JV also competed on Monday. They won their first match 70 - 0, but lost the next three to end the day 1 and 3. Gabe Kelley, Braden Wicke, Justin Sutton and Rebecca Krauss all chipped in points for the bulldog quizzers throughout the day. The JV and Varsity are back in action again on November 7th against the rest of the conference.

Marques Johnson, admissions representative from Rochester University, met with students during lunch today to explore the opportunities that Rochester University has to offer.

Attention Middle/High School parents and students. Just a reminder tomorrow Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 is a half day for middle/high school only. Parent-Teacher Conferences are from 12:00pm to 3:00pm and 4:00pm to 7:00pm. School will dismiss at 10:55am.

The Class of "2025" is having a bake sale on Tuesday October 25th, 2022 during the Junior Varsity and Varsity girls volleyball games. The proceeds will go toward Prom "2024". Items will be priced from $1.00 to $5.00.

St. Charles Community Schools Sports Hall of Fame extends a HUGE THANK YOU TO: St. Charles Teacher, TRINA KOHAGEN and Chesaning Teacher, MICHELLE SCHROEDER who stepped in and served dinner to guests and bussed tables on behave of Riverfront Grille who were under staffed due to Homecoming in both St. Charles and Chesaning. We truly appreciate the gift of time ladies you are rockstars!!!!!!! Our event would not have been as successful without you!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Friday was a great night in Bulldog Stadium as 100 years of football was celebrated. During pre-game former players were invited into the locker room for the pre-game speech, followed by a tunnel consisting of former players and youth players. As the Bulldogs took the field, the past, present, and future of St. Charles Football was on the field as the Marching Band played the fight song. A huge thank you to Shane Thurston for donating the 100 years of football helmet. The former players and families were treated to hot dogs, chips, water, and homemade cookies donated by Mrs. Michelle Gonzales. Thank you to everyone that made this event successful. Also thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Benson for cooking hotdogs and welcoming our guests.

On Wednesday, November 9th, from 4 PM until 8 PM, in Mrs. Hart’s classroom, seniors are invited to come in and work on scholarships. Mrs. Hart and Mrs. Jordan will be available to help students if needed. Please see the attached flyer.

The elementary school staff had a great time at the homecoming parade. They loved seeing the students enjoying every last minute of the homecoming events.

This gentleman who is 86 years old and has had 4 sons that have graduated from STC saw a pack of dawgs in the grocery store today and chatted about old times. ❤️
