On Tuesday, the 7th graders ventured to SVSU to the Marshall M. Frederick's Sculpture Museum. They viewed sculptures like The Spirit of Detroit, The Happy Frog, and many others. They also created their own sculptures that they got to take home!
After their visit, they went to G's Pizzeria in Saginaw for a delicious pizza luncheon and showed their kindness by leaving the waitress's gifts. This was an amazing opportunity for our 7th-grade students, and we are very thankful to SVSU and G's Pizzeria for having us!

Great news for the elementary school!
We now have a food service app that you can download to quickly check your elementary students' daily breakfast and lunch menus. Please search your phone's app store for the app listed below. At this time, only the elementary menus are available. We hope to be able to provide this for the MS/HS soon.

The Middle School Bulldog Bots Robotics team competed at the Goodrich Qualifier this past weekend. Team 21860 had two wins and three losses in their five matches. Their fifth match was a heartbreaker as they came up short by only 2 points in a 105-103 match score.
Overall, the team placed 24th out of 36 teams. The teammates competed with gracious professionalism and cooperated with alliance partners to do their best. The robot “Bulldog 2” performed well throughout the day, and much fun was had by all. Great job, Team 21860! Way to go!

*Student Technology Showcase*
Fifth-grade students Braelyn Damic, Everlee Hafner, Ben Parson, and James Ferry represented St. Charles Elementary at the 23rd Annual Student Technology Showcase, held at the Capitol building in Lansing on December 4, 2024.
With assistance from Edison Robots, the students presented their work to visitors and presenters from schools across Michigan, including Senator Bierlein, the president of the MACUL organization, and the president of AT&T, who are sponsors of the event.
Our team truly enjoyed the showcase, and it was inspiring to see what other schools are doing with technology instruction.

Reminder

For the past couple of days, St. Charles Elementary gym classes have been playing various Thanksgiving games. Students worked on overhand and underhand throws. Mrs. Frost loves seeing the students encourage each other.

St. Charles Elementary School would like to thank The Headband Ladies of Brighton, Michigan, for donating their time and talent to keep our students warm this winter.

The 6th graders participated in the first-ever St. Charles Thanksgiving Day Parade! After being inspired by the book Balloons Over Broadway in Mrs. Meier's ELA class and learning about the history of the actual Macy's Day Parade, the students were challenged to design their own parade floats. They used balloons, pipe cleaners, paper, straws, and other materials to create their floats. Then, they attached the floats to robots that they had to program to travel the "parade route" -which was created with blue painter's tape. The activity was tons of fun, and the students did a lot of thinking and problem-solving.
(Thank you to Mrs. Andrusiak for letting me borrow some of the robots and to the foundation committee for funding the 6th grade STEM grant!)

November is a great time to focus on forming healthy habits, and our new challenge, "Holiday Hustle," is here to help students across Saginaw County do just that. This month, we're encouraging you to build routines that support your well-being, no matter how busy life gets.
To participate, log your activity at least three times a week throughout November. The goal is to find a rhythm that works for you and to stick with it. Even in small amounts, regular activity can create lasting habits that help you feel better, stay focused, and enjoy your daily life. Keep an eye out for information from your HRA on how to build new habits and break the ones you don't want.
As you work on these habits, you'll also have a chance to win Airborne Jump Park passes in our raffle. So, let's hustle this November—start building those healthy habits now and see how they can transform your life!
It's never too late to sign up visit. Visit.bwellsaginaw.org
