This year, the St. Charles Elementary "Fun Run" will be the elementary school's primary fundraiser. The staff and students of St. Charles Elementary School are collecting pledges until October 27th. The pledges can be in any dollar amount. YOUR PLEDGES MATTER! HELP US MEET OUR GOAL!
With the funds raised, the staff at St. Charles Elementary School will be able to enhance your child’s learning experience. Donations earned will be used for assemblies, special events, guest speakers, playground equipment, holiday crafts, busing for field trips, field trip admissions, classroom special activities, end-of-the-school-year celebrations, and so much more.

Parents are encouraged to come out to the track and cheer the students on from the stands. Seniors had the opportunity to meet with Delta College Admissions Recruiter Kyle Peraino today. Kyle discussed the different programs that Delta College offered along with all of the transfer options that are available.

On Friday, October 13th, students had the opportunity to attend the Baker College Fair. The fair hosted representatives from the military branches and from colleges in Michigan and Ohio. It is never too early or too late to explore options like the ones that were provided to us at this event.

St. Charles Community Schools will be hosting a Parent Resource Fair on Thursday, October 19th, from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM. The fair is open to all individuals and families. Lots of resources and opportunities for all!

Attention to high school students who would like information on the combined Chesaning and St. Charles varsity swim team.
Students in Mrs. Kohagen's classes had to opportunity to meet with SSG Boles from the Michigan National Guard today. SSG Boles spoke about overcoming obstacles, setting goals, and adversity.
While students in grades 7, 8, and 9 had the opportunity to meet with Ms. Grondin from the CAN Council to discuss the importance of cyberbullying, digital safety, and the 5 Safety Rules to keep teens safe.

During the elementary school assembly on Thursday, the high school band, football players, and cheerleaders fired up our littlest bulldogs for Homecoming on Friday.
The elementary students made pictures for the football players to show their support. Go Bulldogs!

Due to the construction in the village and the unpredictable weather conditions in the morning, we have made the decision to cancel the walk-to-school event that was scheduled for Friday, October 6th. Students should report to schools as normal.
On October 18th, we will host a College/Trades/Military Fair. This year the fair will be held a bit differently than last year. This year there will be a total of five schools attending the fair. Mrs. Sandy Hart, Academic, College, and Career Advisor along with leadership students Carleigh Eastman, Seth Rohde, and Aiden Sheltraw have been working diligently to make sure the event is organized. St. Charles is hosting the event and have invited Merrill, Hemlock, Birch Run, and Freeland to attend.
Today, in honor of College & Career Month, high school students participated in College & Career Bingo during lunch break. Students could win a prize from the "swag" table if they earned a bingo. All the prizes were donated by colleges, trade schools, unions, and the military.
Today was the third day of homecoming week at the elementary school, and the staff and students celebrated by participating in the "Lucky Charms" dress-up day. They all dressed up in green or in something they believed would bring them good luck. We are incredibly fortunate to have such enthusiastic students who are full of spirit for homecoming week.
