Reminder for incoming 7th and 9th grade families.
We would like to extend our congratulations to Mr. Matthew Wicke for being honored with the Excellence in Education Award from Horace Mann. Matt has been an invaluable asset to our district, going above and beyond as an educator. Throughout his time here, he has contributed significantly as the elementary, middle, and high school band teacher, co-supervisor of the National Honor Society, coach, and respected staff member.
Thank you, Mr. Wicke, for all you do for St. Charles Community Schools!
Please take note of the following information and share it to support our student's trip to Washington, DC!
Our students' next trip to Washington, DC, is scheduled for October 16-19, 2025. The trip is intended for current 6th and 7th graders who will be in the 7th and 8th grades at the time of the journey.
We are kicking off a fundraiser today that will run until 9/9/24. We are selling Bulldog blankets made by a former teacher and a veteran, who are both from Michigan. The blankets (shown in the picture below) will be printed in Michigan and are expected to arrive by the end of September or early October.
If you want to order one, two, or twelve blankets, please use the QR code or link provided below. If you know of a registered DC student, please enter their name when placing the order so that they may receive the profit. Otherwise, you can simply enter "donate." Thank you for your support!

STC athletes have been keeping busy this summer by participating in non-school-related activities. Pictured below are 2024 graduate Emily Zelinko and current sophomore Allison Zelinko, playing basketball in Spain!
Emily and Allison were invited to play basketball in Spain with girls and coaches from all over the USA. They spent a total of 8 days there, 4 days in Barcelona and 4 days in Valencia. They played against Spanish teams and interacted with each team on and off the court.
Besides playing basketball, they also immersed themselves in the Spanish culture, took part in leadership activities, attended a Spanish cooking class, learned Flamenco dancing, and explored the cities.
Please notice the wage has changed. Please share with anyone 18 years old and above. Keep in mind that this would be a perfect after-school job for high school students.
