Saginaw County Mosquito Abatement Commission (SCMAC) is looking for students for seasonal employment for the 2023 season. Attached you will find the recruitment flyer which lists more information about the agency and the positions available.
These jobs are ideal for high school graduates as they are available from May through September for up to 40 hours per week (weather permitting). Positions start at $14.25 per hour. The following positions are filled each season: 45 Vector Technicians, 3 Office Clerks, 6 Biology Assistants, 2 Source Reduction Technicians, and 1 Education Assistant. The number of available positions in each department varies each year depending on the number of returning employees. Mosquito Control season begins in late April and runs through the end of September.
The deadline to submit an application is Friday, April 14, 2023. Applications are submitted online at saginawmosquito.com. Applicants must be 18 years old by June 1, 2023, and have a valid Michigan driver's license with no more than five points and with no restrictions. Motor vehicle driving records are checked through the State of Michigan.
